The tapestries in her series Dismantled are all of locations, primarily aging architecture. Day sees these spaces as physical evidence of time passing, and relates them to human experience and memory. She is considering the impact people and cultures have on locations, and through projection, and anthropomorphization, embedding personality and emotion into these structures.
